Sharidon & Eloise | Pretoria Wedding
If I were a poet, I could describe this day with so much depth, but I’m not, I’m a photographer and I’m grateful. To be able to spend time with generous and special people like these, to share in their most cherished & important day thus far and to witness yet another couple who believe in the power of marriage.
So here I am again, describing a most awesome day in short: This is their land which they purchased recently, this is their home, unfinished but enough, so enough, and gorgeous. They had an intimate wedding under an enormous willow tree. 100% rain was predicted by almost all the weather forecasting apps and not one drop fell. We were in awe of God’s grace and love. As the whole wedding was an outdoor one. When we entered the tented-stoep, rain started pouring down. Which I believe is never a let down for the groom, because rarely a farmer complains about rainy weather. Almost everything was self-done, or family and friends pitched in. Spitbraai. Marshmallows-braai. Chocolate fun-duo. Curls! Such beautiful curls. And a stunning bride of course. Many tears. Lots of laughter. Sincere people create sincere moments. I’m especially grateful that my eye caught Eloise walking her grandmother to the restrooms, having a beautiful conversation about God’s goodness – nothing about this was staged.
